This is SUCH a fun way to spend some quality time with a loved one! I actually surprised my husband Michael with a private helicopter tour over Seattle for Valentine’s Day a few years ago. It was such a unique way to see our backyard differently that we have spent so many years in. Similar to the dance cruise I mentioned above, you and your loved one can take a two and a half hour cruise on Lake Washington and Lake Union. But if dancing isn’t really your thing, and you want a full meal, this Dinner cruise is a slower and more relaxed way to spend the evening.

Being Seattle locals, we have gone to the top of the Space Needle and dined at the restaurant on the rotating observation deck more than a few times. Although we have yet to make another visit since the recent completion of their observation deck remodel. If you aren’t familiar, they just upgraded the observation deck, also known as ‘the loupe’ to be the first and only glass rotating floor in the world.
Unfortunately, the full-service restaurant is currently closed with the ongoing renovation project. But they have a cafe and wine bar open to accommodate your visit to the top. While you are up in the needle, your view will constantly change from the city below your feet, to snow-capped mountains, and the Puget Sound, to towering skyscrapers, thanks to the revolving floor.
